Desktop Systems
Desktop
systems are video communication solutions which are integrated in
a PC or attached with a USB interface. Through the implementation
of video communication on the job, the user has the highest possible
availability and the full access to his data. In contrast to a conference,
a virtual communication between co-workers or specialists at different
locations takes place more often.
In these cases the best solution is PC-based video communication
direct from the workspace. The systems are coordinated so that PC-based
systems and group systems (as well as systems of the compact class)
can communicate with one another worldwide. The PC-based systems
are able to work on data together, to operate interactively on a
document, to transfer files and to accomplish face-to-face communication
at the same time. A data exchange can also be accomplished with
our group- and compact systems. A highly developed audio technology
supports communication between the partners. The Desktop systems
consist of a PC-Card, a camera, a headphone/microphone unit and
an appropriate driver software for the most usual PC operating systems.
Compact Systems
Compact
systems are fully integrated video communication solutions. A monitor
and a ISDN connection is all that is needed. The System and camera
form a closed unit, which is optimally suitable because of its lightweight
and simple installation for mobile employment. Further equipment
characteristics like infrared remote maintenance and optional multiplexes
for channeling make it possible to hold small comfortable video
conferences in excellent picture and sound quality for up to middle-sized
groups of users.
Group Systems
Group
systems are high performance, modularly developed video communication
solutions that satisfy the highest demands. Variable equipment characteristics
permit flexible system configurations for nearly every application.
High performance cameras, room microphones and large monitors also
permit the integration of such systems in large conference rooms.
Thus, mid-sized to large groups can participate comfortably in video
conferences of the highest quality.
